SATEBA employ positive anchorage prestressing, for production of both monobolic sleepers and turnout bearers.The prestressing is transferred to the concrete through both the anchoring steel washers and the bonding of steel wire to concrete.

The accuracy of bearer dimensions is beneficial to the track characteristics in terms of gauge, levelling and dressing. This also provides savings on track maintenance.

Since 1988 SATEBA has manufactured more than 60 km of concrete turnout bearers for SNCF/RFF networks, TGV network (sole supplier), REFER (Portugal), Eurotunnel, CTRL and Network Rail (UK). Standard lengths of bearers have been designed to suit a wide variety of turnouts taking into account all requirements for manufacturing and installation.
